Resize handles, Backwards lock button, Attachments bug

Viewed 35

Here's some bugs I noticed, one of which might just be a missing feature so I tagged this question appropriately:

  • In the Attachments I can't create documents or add folders, I'm somewhat assuming this might be because the menu is more of a preview list for attchments on GDDs. If so, then it's no worries, I only noticed when I attempted to copy over a wall of lorem ipsum placeholder text I use a lot.
  • The button to lock and unlock is backwards. Everywhere. If it says "unlock document" and has a lock icon showing, then that means I can edit it and visa versa.
  • Many of the panes are plenty spacious enough, but I would really like to resize areas, at least the outline for each document section. I use shorthand and even 3 or 4 folders deep on indentation there was still space hanging off that could be shifted into the editor view. I had a feeling this was a missing feature, but maybe it's just a bug /shrug

If anyone knows more about one of these issues please let me know, I'm definitely gonna keep using Drafft 2

Hello Rachel, thanks for the report!

  • The attachment section still needs interactivity! its on the todo for hopefully next versions. Meanwhile if you need to delete attachments, you can do so via the "Media" page. They both look for the same collection (Attachments) but I think having a familiar tree structure for this helps as well, that's why there are two interfaces... maybe they are redundant... Ideally you will be able to upload attachments in both pages.

  • The lock wording is confusing , and this has been brought before: just to clarify: "Locking" means enable the document for editing thus lock the document so no other user can modify (the colored slider). I think I will reword this as the more familiar check-out / check-in

Check-Out (Editing Enabled)
User "locks" the document for exclusive editing.
Others cannot edit until it's checked back in.
Toggle state: "Checked Out (Editing Enabled)"
Icon: 🔓 Open lock (to show it's editable by the user, locked for others).

Check-In (Read-Only)
User releases the lock so others can edit.
Document returns to shared access.
Toggle state: "Checked In (Read-Only)"
Icon: 🔒 Closed lock (to indicate it's now available for others).

Thanks for the detailed report! Will properly add an answer once I have those implementations! Any feedback is appreciated.

EDIT 1: Added rudimentary resize handle to the tree in 2.0.19!

Looking forward to the resize handle to the tree, I agree that it will be super useful! I also got confused with the lock/unlock but it's ok now. Is there a way to lock everything? I am thinking that it might be possible to forget to lock a script and lose work.
